I think we should pick Harper with pick 6 if atleys gone as I don't rate gaff or polec .he is the guy we need to add to our structure as I see him playing hff for a couple of years and moving into the midfield later on and if we got vezspremi our forward line would be almost complete

Harper is a player I would love to have but at pick 6 I just don't think he has done enough. Some others might know more about this - think he was injured in the early part of the season which could explain why he was a little inconsistent and only really played one good game. Obviously the club would have done there homework and would be able to make a better assessment.

I voted for Gaff as I think we need more sure things before we start adding cream but would really like one of Harper or Pitt and think that getting an extra pick in the top 15 or so would be gold for this reason.

Why don't you rate Gaff or Polec?

i dont get to see a lot of junior football but i loved the look of caddy at this years champs if he gets to our 2nd pick i would be very happy

Why do we want Vezspremi? Because he was in Emma Quayle's book? Maybe we should get Jordan Johnson as I believe he was shortlisted to be a competitor on the new It's Academic about 3 years ago.

Have you seen him play? at junior or AFL level?

The kid has undoubted talent, And a new club maybe just what he needs.

He will come cheaper than Knights also.

bad luck it is not junior footy three years done sweet **** all

Would go after Vez in a flash. Would come cheap and is a gun goal kicking HF. Think he kicked 4 in his 2nd game. Injuries have meant he struggled but needs a change of enviroment...keen to get him.

AND BRODIE SMITH

i really rate him, but just not sure about at 6.

gaff is a poor mans scully, or a kade simpson clone, which i dont think is bad, just not the type of player that will help us move foward at this stage of our development.clea

someone like smith with the bigger body and the power through the hips will give us another big body and most importantly another clearance player who can replace tuck when he hangs up the boots.

Tuck still has a fair few years to go.

I first mentioned Harper several weeks ago and after watching the TAC final over and over I am even more convinced that this kid has superstar written all over him.

you dont draft a kid after they retire, you draft them two or three years befre and give them time to adapt to the level so they are ready and able when he actually does retire.
Unless if his body breaks down he will be able to go past 2-3 years.

Keiran did particularly well at the draft camp:

SVJ - 5th
RVJ - 1st
R/Sprints - 3rd

Ready-made midfielder forward. I really hope we can somehow get a pick in the teens (through a trade) and grab this bloke. Heppell and Harper:thumbsu:

The boy looks very smart, check his goal out against W.A in the pocket and hard up against the boundry, magnificent....

I wouldn't be disappointed if we took Harper at Pick 6, in fact I hope we do. He had a much better season last year but had hip surgery at the start of the year which meant he had an interrupted preseason leading into his final year of U18s.
He's such a smooth mover, has that composure that seems to translate so well to the step up in pace. Very athletic, great leap and beautiful skills.

He'd probably slip down to pick 10-12 or so, but given we don't have a pick there I think we should reach and take him early. Everyone after pick 3 has a few ? marks on them, Harper's is that he may not get enough of the ball yet, but he did last year. He could be an inspired selection like Hill was for Freo who were confident enough to take their man early even though most didn't have him even in the first round.
