Who will be 1,2,3 in the rucks for the Dogs. With the new ruck rules will Street have more domination or will "man mountain Minson" soften them up around the ground. Will Bandy be more mobile around the ground. Or will Darcy shoulder the lot as usual.

As you can see we have a variety of ruckman including Wade Skipper who can play there and an unplayed prospect called Jesse Wells. I'd have Darcy as first choice ruckman with Minson as outright 2nd option. Bandy will play a relieve role and up forward with Darcy expected to go forward as much as possible. Minson has everything open to him and could be a real key to this side if he can dominate the ruck and his opposition big man.

would think minson/darc would play center half forward moving to full forward or ruck. I would think bandy would also rotate well through CHF and CHB (moving up and down the ground hes not a ruckman thats certain)
I still think street is a reasonable prospect although i'm the only one. I cant see where to play skipper, reminds me of bartlett which is not a pleasant thought, maybe backline ?

Agree with most of your post BDM. Darcy and Minson to ruck the majority of games with some relief from Bandy. This all depends on whether Big Will behaves himself and stays out of the umpires notebooks. Street should be running around at Werribee for as long as his contract runs. I also have my doubts about Skippers position on our list. He will not get much of a run in the ruck or key position but somehow must make an impact this year if an opportunity presents.

A few thoughts on street
a) he didnt play well under rhode, humm only player I guess
b) he didnt seem to know what to do after the ball was bounced, ok lack of footy smarts, but I never saw the runner tell him where to run either, so no instructions from the box
c) the players were accused of waxing (kicking to mates), wasnt the only one the ball wasnt kicked too. I did see him chase a midfielder down on the wing at the telstra dome while mcmahan stood and watched
d) the games we won north and saints, he rucked for large parts of the game
e) the bulldogs website have basically written him off so I suggest he is a goner anyway
f) I question where darc is more effective, hes as tall as mobile and heavy as johnathon brown yet hes never player at CHF. its where he played when wynd was rucking, and he was playing well in that position.

I think that Darcy and Minson aren't suited to playing CHF, meaning the resting player would be either sitting on the pine, floating around CHB or deep along the FF line. And also that we should all forget about Street.

your joking arnt you. what facts stop darc playing CHF, if hes not in the ruck

Darcy will be the main ruckman of course and Minson will come on and ruck while Darcy takes a rest in the forward line or bench.

If Skipper, Bandy or both which would be even better stand up, this side will have a whole new dimension to it.

I think who they select will depend on matchups. Eg If Sandilands with the Dockers begins to really dominate with the new ruck rules the when we play Freo Street may be a logical match up so we don't get smashed out of the centre.

Street is not that bad...and he will improve. What happened to people giving big blokes longer to mature? He has another year after this one, is really tall and only 22. I admit, I much prefer the way Minson goes about it to Street - but he will be OK. Is it his fault that Bandy was injured last year and he got AFL games he wasn't ready for....he is not that bad.
