I am not one to indulge in sentiment, but seeing King in the stands today was one part of today that hurt. He should be brought back in, Blake was servicable, but King is a former captain, once our best player and running mate of Milburn, Harley and Scarlett for a decade.

He deserves his place in the team. Blake is only a minor part of our team, the return of King could have tangible and intangible benefits.

To quote Kevin Sheedy;
King is a former captain, but don't worry about that. If a player doesn't deserve to play, then so be it.

To quote Kevin Sheedy;

I don't know why this is even an argument. King and Blake are both AFL standard and VERY good players...the fact that they are playing off for 2nd Choice ruckmen says something about how good our lineup is!

It seems Ottens was reported, so maybe (although i doubt it) King will get his chance!

It is a bit sad seeing Kingy in the stands, he has been a wonderful player (and still is...) He does deserve to be there, its just so does Blake!

means squat my friend. people don't get games for being friends of friends and loyal and being around for a while. you get games for putting in the hard yards and doing the best for the team and the club and the player most deserving of the spot will get it, at this stage, blake is in front of king. unfortunate, maybe, but don't deny the kid who has put his heart and soul into this club this season only to be dropped come finals time for someone because he is an ex captain, friend and long time player.
