Firstly, that tackle he put on Big Sauce Merret, how damn good?! And then he wanted to go on with it, lol. I think Merret showed respect to the little bloke. Actually, for an opposition player, I really like Merret, great tussle with Jack.

Then that mark by Kingy kinda going with the flight, expecting to get poleaxed, but no Lion ended up even making contact. Hats off to the "push up" King :thumbsu:

EDIT: Oh, and how could I forget him running into an open goal, then looking around for another opponent to run at for the lolz... Kingy LOL :o

That was hilarious, did you see how wide his eyes and mouth were. It was like he was thinking "F*** I'm dead here":D

I reckon a lot of people would go to games to see Kingy play. Love the passion and fight he brings to each game.

Had to have a laugh at Nathan Brown's twitter page where he made a comment on last week's game, "Enjoyed The Push Up King last night, kicked 3 goals from a total of 2 meters."

I did notice that Jake does like to kick goals from very close in.

Love the bloke. Between him, Martin, Jackson and Rance, we are building a very strong, courageous and tough side!!!
Love the comparisons between him and Chuck Norris. LMAO..
Plus the other poster who stated; Kingy doesn't do push ups, he push's the earth down! lol

I was looking at the fanfooty site to keep track of dreamteam stats and the chat at half time was hilarious with the Dustin Martin "facts", its almost worth signing up to Twitter just to keep tabs on the #dustinmartinfacts trending

My favorites so far are
"When Dustin Martin makes coffee, he grinds the beans with his teeth, and boils the water with his rage"

and

"Giraffes were created when Dustin Martin uppercut a horse"

Love watching King play. Love the goal, but he should have kicked it before the Lions play tried to decapitate him. He's as tough as nails. When the boogey man goes to sleep at night he checks under his bed for King.

(okay I heard the boogey man thing on triple M for Martin, but I thought it was more apt for King)

And...

Dustin Martin doesn’t cry, his eyes sweat.

When the Bogeyman goes to sleep at night, he checks his closet for Dustin Martin.

Dustin Martin doesn’t prepare dinner, dinner knows when to be ready.

When you poke Dustin Martin on Facebook, you die.

When Dustin Martin was born he ‘don’t argued the doctor’

This need its own thread:D

I had written Kingy off last year, but has reinvented himself this season as that hard working small forward we have be yearning for.
If he could only share a bit of his mongrel with some other more gifted physically and skillful players.
The way he goes about his football really typifies everything we need to be as a football club and he is quickly becoming one of my favourite tigers!!!

Dimma was on "The Run Home" tonight, and was answering a few questions from Dermie, Ox and Francis.

Ox brought up the topic of Jake King. Dimma made a few interesting points...
* on top of being a hell of a competitive bastard, and the butt of many midget jokes, he was surprised to discover that Jake actually has a pretty good footy skill set.
* said his biggest issue in the past was decision making, and I loved how he suggested that had mostly been resolved. "We pretty much give him all the answers before he runs out there".

No doubt this last quote applies to several of our players, such as Rance, Jacko, etc. He was suggesting here that with a straight forward game plan and precise instructions, the decisions are being made somewhat on auto-pilot for these blokes now. Can see definite improvement in this area overall thus far this year.

the ammount of haters turned lovers is amazingly ironic.. 08 09 you guys would have kicked him out so fast even wallac would say thats bad.. i hae liked kingy since he gutted didak in 08 :thumbsu::thumbsu: i knew he would sort his S*** out :D

im glad i had faith in him

I'll also own up to thinking he was gone at the end of 2010 (along with Nahas). So glad I was wrong because I'm loving both those guys lately. King shrugging off that high tackle and playing on after getting semi-dacked...just classic Kingy. Loved it.

Have always been a Kingy fan and it's good to get one right, but yeah I was with you on Nahas. Could not see him becoming good at all, seemed too small and slow (looks quicker than he is, but I'm sure he is quicker this year than last), and lacked polish or an opposite foot which was required in his position.

But I was definitely wrong, he has turned it around and is one of the first I would pick each week.

Still not sold on Houli though, definitely needs to harden up a bit but he seems to be improving there.
