Should Knighta Continue ?
At the end of last season he was given the choice of taking a pay cut in the short term but extending his contract until the end of 2003. He refused, now, with his current contract up at the end of the season, next season is looking a long way away.
He is at the crossroads, and we have Rodan, Ednie, Pettifer and Coughlan stepping up. Building a team of kids must justify and reinforce ones faith in the long term view. He really needs to come to terms with what is becoming increasingly apparent to the rest of the football world. That he has run out of time.
I for one, can't see Knighta in the big picture, he must bite the bullet and retire at seasons end, with some dignity in-tact.
And Danny also needs to bite the bullet and run him in the twos for the whole game, rather than have him playing in short burst here and there losing more touch and confidence.
