:)A ray of sunshine down at Punt Road. For the first time since about March, Trent Knobel is listed as not being two weeks away with an ankle injury, but only one!!!!
What a farce!
Anyone told him there's only four games to go.
Sit it out son!

Also noted, Meyer out for two weeks with a knee. I make a point of that in a bid to curtail the weekly Meyer in, whoever out talk that circulated on this board!

Given the below from the Sun yesterday, he might be closer to being gawwwwnnnn.

....Wallace said there were doubts over the career futures of ruckman Trent Knobel and utility Ray Hall, neither of whom have played this season because of lingering injury problems.

``If you haven't played for the year there's every chance that your spot's going to be speculative, I think that there's no doubt that that's the case,'' he said.

``You have to treat each one on their merits ... obviously their ongoing medical problems will play a major part in that.'' .....

So does this mean if you have played you are most likely going to retained?
Treat each one on their merits? How about others who have ongoing non skills and have played all year TW? I think that might be something that is also an important "merit".

I think you misunderstood, Knobel is one week away from being two weeks away from playing his first game in the VFL.
What's the point? 4 weeks left, he may as well retire now.

He'll need to star in every one of those games if he hopes to be retained next year.

I think he's spot with the 'merit' comment.

Basically saying what is the value each player will be to Richmond going forward. If the value is minimal, and they haven't played all year, they're probably gone.

But treating another player on their merit, the possible value to the club may be quite high. Taking Cogs for instance, despite not having played for virtually two years, he's going to be retained.

well ray hall has got to be def gone............cuase he is still listed as injured and hes suspension applys when fully fit. as if we would carry that into next season if still on the list in 08.
