what about this 4 a deal at the end of the season Kobe could be invovled in a deal that would c him at Chicago in exchange 4 Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry(as a back up 4 shaq) this could work out 4 both teams as the bulls are getting their franchise player and the Lakers are getting youth among their ranks.

Not suprisingly...

Chicago trades: PF Tyson Chandler (10.7 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 25.3 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (13.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.9 apg in 27.8 minutes)
Chicago receives: SG Kobe Bryant (21.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.3 ppg, -10.1 rpg, and +2.5 apg.

L.A. Lakers trades: SG Kobe Bryant (21.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.4 minutes)
L.A. Lakers receives: PF Tyson Chandler (10.7 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 13 games)
C Eddy Curry (13.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.9 apg in 43 games)
Change in team outlook: +2.3 ppg, +10.1 rpg, and -2.5 apg.

TRADE DECLINED

Due to L.A. Lakers and Chicago being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and Chicago had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only L.A. Lakers met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Being a Bulls fan, I dont want Kobe at Chicago.

The Bulls would cream their pants if such a trade was ever proposed.

Right now they have no future, bring Kobe in, and straight away they become an attractive franchise.

how about, no. i would hope we could get a far more attractive offer for kobe than that (if we must trade him)
i'm assuming you are a bulls fan, that's why you said it 'would work for both teams'

And I dont disagree, but Ill say it again.

As a Bulls fan, I dont want Kobe in Chicago.

Take out Kobe and put in McGrady, and he would jump in an instant :p

Very true.

McGrady would fit in remarkably well with Chandler and Curry. Sooks Anonymous.

The Bulls would do it, I wouldnt though.. Chandler and Curry have huge futures around them, they can be a dominant front court. Look at Eddy Curry, Skiles has got him in amazing shape and he has been scoring over 20 ppg last 4 games all out in the west, hes been terrific.. now picture him in 4 years when hes only 25, scary stuff. Tyson Chandler was averaging something like 18 boards a game after 3 games this yr before getting injured, he complements Eddy so well and once he gets back to 100% the Bulls are going to be a much better team.

If we did a trade, we would have to add JYD or E-Rob to it... then the Bulls could draft Okafor but I dont see it happening either way, Lakers wouldnt do it.

Your lack of logic is somewhat disturbing.

Like every fan, there are certain players that certain fans dont like. I dont like Kobe Bryant, so if he came to the Bulls it would be difficult for me to support the guy, even though he was playing for the Bulls.

He's a rapist...maybe. Dont need that at the Bulls. If we were going to do a blockbuster like that I would rather go after a KG, T-Mac, Duncan etc...

And the Spurs and Wolves won't accept the entire Bulls roster for KG or Duncan respectively. So you have can TMac, who won't help the Bulls as much as Kobe.

Tmac would give the bulls all of kobitch rapist bryant and then some.... and i totally understand about the certain players you dont want at ur team as jod23 was saying. i too wouldn't like kobe at my team

Never mind the fact LA wouldn't agree to such a ridiculous trade in the first place. I doubt the Lakers would give up Kobe for anything.

They would if Kobe opted to leave the Lakeshow. In that event, they would certainly agree to a sign-and-trade, possibly with the same talent level mentioned in the original post.

Chicago would never do the trade, they have said in the past that Tyson Chandler is 'untouchable' as far as trading goes.

Tys' and Curry have potential to be stars. Yes, Kobe is a star he has already proved that, but the bulls dont need a current player, they need youth - which they get in curry and tys'.

The reason i say chicago wouldnt do the trade is because if you look at what there team WOULD be... they wouldnt get very far at all........

C- Davis
PF- Williams
SF- Kobe
SG- Crawford
PG- Kirk.

Team might not be that exactly, but no matter how you have it, harldy going to get them far now is it? As apposed to keeping the 2 and having the best front court in the league(given' 3 or 4 years)?

C-Davis
PF-Okafor
SF-Kobe
SG-Crawford
PG-Kirk

is so much better than

C-Curry
PF-Chandler
SF-Robinson
SG- Crawford
PG- Kirk

it's not funny. Nevertheless, I expect the Bulls to wait out the season to see if they land Okafor, and then perhaps look at dealing one of the Cs for someone like Vladimir Radmanovich + filler.

Is Okafer in the draft or something?

:p

Watched Okafor for the first time last week, and damn, the kid has the goods.

Would like to be an inch or too bigger (wouldn't we all).

It will be a tough selection for whoever gets one, take the sure fire prospect in Okafor, or the higher risk, higher return in Dwight Howard.

Also would consider Deng, boy is good.

Jalen Rose was also considered untouchable. He was also considered the franchise player.

These claims, especially from Chi Town, mean little. They'd trade their own mother if they thought they could do well out of it.

And there is the crux of the issue, Chicago and their fans GROSSLY overrate both Chandler and Curry.

They both have talent, but they'll forever be living off the big P word, too many weaknesses to become the next Webber and Shaq, for instance.

Just so you know, im a Minnesota fan. I just think that the two have extreme potential, especially chandler.

At present chicago arent really looking at first pick, so lets not jump to conclusions....

They certainly freaking are. It remains to be seen where Wallace will take the Hawks, but if they end up with #1 they'll likely take hometown boy Dwight Howard anyway, leaving the dwindling Bulls with Okafor.

With a soft spot for the Bulls, obviously.

I don't doubt their potential, but David Clarke had potential.
