Hey guys just want to know if anyone has seen this guy play before?

I know he is a 194cm forward that was picked in the last pick of last years draft but what did miller get him for?? Can he really play or what?

I think he has bad OP at the moment and i remember someone saying that he will play late this year.

So does anyone have any goss about him or was he just a guy that can make the list more even??

BTW i emailed miller again asking about miller, the situation with travis cloke and if he is looking at monteath and the other youngsters yet.

Will post results when i get it

I saw Archibald a few times last year with NSW.

I think describing him as a key forward is a bit of a stretch. He doesn't really play like a traditional marking forward. He is more a tall HFF / slow winger. Reminds me more of Nick Davis, Ben Harrison, Andrew Gowers, Andew Mills or Marcus Baldwin.

Not quite a winger, not quite a key forward. Might make a 3rd-4th forward in time.

He tends to push out to the wings and take chest marks, and then follow the ball into the forward 50. He is quite mobile for a guy his size, but certainly no Tarrant.

He is pretty raw. He was playing for 3-4 different teams last season so didn't really get the chance to settle.

I suspect that by the last pick in the draft most players looked pretty ho-hum and similar. The club probably went for Archibald not so much because they thought he was better than someone else, but because he is something a bit different to everyone else.

He played most of his junior footy in a blue rugby-union style helmet, so if he sticks with that he certainly will be noticed.
