Player Watch Lachie Schultz

What did we pay for Cameron?
What did we pay for Nick?
Cameron in particular never came with the expectations of Schulz.
Nick is a young player who the opposition put massive effort into trying to quell his influence.
Schulz came at a high price and I bet you no opposition really puts the effort into him that they do Nick.
His miss from 30 directly in front, his complete and utter lack of awareness that saw him run down, these are the things I do not expect from someone at that cost.
If I thought we could get something for him I would put him on the table. But I know the 17 other clubs would just laugh at us and expect us to pay 90% of his contract.
You do realise that it’s not your decision to trade players?

As long as you realise it’s not your decision to keep duds on our list.
I try and support the players we have on the list. I’ll leave the whipping to the keyboard warriors who never played at any decent level.

Sounds like you’re being a bit of a tosser to me.
Really?
Coming from the champion tosser of BigFooty that’s high praise indeed.
If you care to read the thread you would understand.
Now I understand that you struggle with simple tasks, but give it a go. You might surprise is.

Go and clean your toy car.

Quick, no googling, name me one elite competition in the world where the supporters of a club do not have their negative says on their own players.
Quick! No googling!
Quick, no googling, name me one elite competition in the world where the supporters of a club booing and abusing their own players has helped said players play better.

Now name an elite competition where players rise on the crowd's hype and support

Ha!
I’m not going to trawl through the whole of BF.
But oh my I’m going to have some fun next time you reveal yourself to be the hypocrite you really are.

Now there’s a poor answer.
So, in reality you cannot back up any comment you make?

Should duds be allowed to post on Bigfooty? There's ample evidence to suggest that they are. Heard Nick in an interview say him and the team love what Shooter brings to the table. I'm afraid to say he knows a bit more about the caper than you.

In reality all elite competition has people who bag and abuse their own players. Those people are trash

I won’t be revealing myself to you, thanks very much!

Did the club know he was such a bad set shot goal kicker when they recruited him? That’s the thing that stands out for me,how bad a goal kicker he is.He struggles to kick goals from 30 metres out right in front. Was he that bad at kicking at Fremantle,or is it something that’s just happened this year?

And then some extend that even further by saying that we shouldn’t boo or bag players who used to play for Collingwood.
It pisses me off that you can't still throw tinnies at them like in the Vic Park days. Bloody wowsers.

I have the same expectations of any footballer traded or drafted to Collingwood. That they wear the jumper with pride, give their best, and win lots of premierships. Trade price or draft pick number isn’t relevant to that.

Just this year from what I’ve seen of his time at Freo.

The other clubs probably don’t have a mistake-free footballer to trade anyway.

3.40 in to Fly's presser, "blames a real losing behavior" so everyone trying to pin the wrap on Shooter, you are what you are.

Getting kinda sick of that reference tbh, the only losing behaviour that it important right now is the (cumulative) one that is losing us games we should have won, including Friday night's effort in the last quarter.

Fly and our other game day coaches need to look in the mirror as much as anyone, clearly our system fell apart late in the season and there was literally no plan B. Sometimes you have to scrap, claw, and gouge your way to a win that goes entirely off script, but it was like we couldn't stomach the prospect of dialling things back to something simpler when things weren't going our way.

p.s. belongs in another thread, apologies for the derailment...

His goal kicking earlier in the year was very good, going through a bad patch at present but that happens.
