What position does he play?

Wingman/Centreman can play across HB as well.

Super athletic, nice raking left foot (although can be a bit hit and miss at times), is super-quick for 189cm, looks faster than Grigg to the naked eye (although t hey test about the same), has a huge leap and will take players on making him a genuine 70-80m player off HB.

lol..no link
go to afl.com and then click on the advertisment that says afl nab draft
A window shoudl pop up then go thorugh the player list and click lachie hill
thers also one on jospeh
looks good apart form kicking

Funny that i've gone to school with him for 3 years and i only pay attention to him now.

A little more backround for you:
Vice Captain of Monash house at Scotch, so he's a leader of sorts.

L. Hill (TAC stats)

8 matches (due to school committments)

8 goals
15.0 disposals per game (65% efficiency )
3.8 Tackles p/g
2.8 Marks p/g (32% contested)

As I said, kicking could use some work, but he has the athleticism (and I suspect the attitude) to make it at the top level. Also believe his parents are very nice people so he ticks the good family/character box.

farily tall...about 190 and still growing

plays hbf for scotch (vice captain of his house and of the first 18)

extremely quick. about 3rd/4th in the APS over 100m.

not the most natural footballer youll see but is, and will continue, developing.

i can see him becoming a medium defender, similar to sam gilbert
a tall midfielder, similar to andrew embley
or a medium forward - not really similar to anyone, pehaps a quicker but less enduranced ryan o'keefe

great pick up...good luck lachie

Would of preferred Chivers from St Kevins as a potential KPP, plays CHB for them and for Oakleigh later in the season.

But he went too early i guess. Seems we have gone for pace with our rookie selections. Wonder if this was a pre-determined theme or just was happened to pan out...

Gilly, you don't think that he might be at that "in-between" height at 190cm, do you? Or do you think that he is athletic enough to perhaps play on a wing, or on a HFF at AFL level should he develop?

The tweener height thing doesn't bother me with Lachie because I haven't seen him play KP at junior level and he is never going to play KP at AFL level. You are correct, for 190cm I think he has the athletic attributes to make it as a tall on-baller/HBF at AFL level...just needs to work on his decision making and skill level.....think a taller (albeit not as prolific ball-winning) Dangerfield.

Thanks mate.
Kinda worries me with the Dangerfield comparison. We need guys that can hit targets at the club, not butchering it coming off HB. Hopefully he can work on this part of his game now that he is at an AFL club.
