Toast Lachlan Keeffe

With Frost, Langdon and even Maxwell being the flavour of the season, one key part of our defence has flown under the radar somewhat, and that's Lachlan Keeffe.

Was very good today, defensively sound, and the best thing about him, imo, is that his kicking is so reliable for a tall.

If its a choice between Keeffe and Frost I'd take Keeffe

18 disposals and 7 marks this week, 16 disposals and 8 marks last week and 20 disposals and 11 marks the week before in the VFL, hes playing as that attacking marking rebounding player we know he is, at the beginning of the year he looked Nathan Brown like as in he didnt find much of the football, hes gotten out of that slump it seems. Only had 5 goals kicked on him this year with 4 of them on Jenkins.

But neither of them can take down monster forwards and Keeffe has more strings to his bow.
I think we've opted more for Frost to take the monster forwards.

Played on Dawes today, Hawkins against Geelong.

That can't be right, can it?

Only 5 goals kicked on him in how many games?

Round 3: Mitch Brown, 0 goals.
Round 4: Tyrone Vickery, 0 goals.
Round 5: Drew Petrie, 0 goals.
Round 6: Jake Carlisle, 0 goals.
Round 7: Levi Casboult, 1 goal.
Round 9: Josh Jenkins, 4 goals. "Sigh"
Round 11: Rhys Stanley, 0 goals.
Round 12: James Frawley, 0 goals. Wasn't his only opponent, but had no goals kicked on him for the day anyway.
Amazing how one bad game can underrate a good season so far.

Dear me. I assume you have seen about five to ten games of AFL footy?
Nice attempted troll. He's played 16 games since returning from his knee halfway through last year. He has been great down back other than the Adelaide game

His final last year was ordinary but I put that down to bucks playing him in the forward line

No trolling. You said his game against Adelaide was the worst you had seen. I think he had 4 kicked on him. Clearly you haven't been around a long time as many players have had double digits kicked on then and performed far worse than Keefe ever has. I think Keefe is an excellent player.

You are the one who wrote this ridiculous statement: " his game against Adelaide was one of the worst games of AFL football I have ever seen."

I wasn't even referring to the goals kicked on him. He coughed up just about every possession he got that night. It was in keeffe like because generally he makes good decisions. That night he has an absolute shocker tho

Obviously never saw Jason Wild play!

He was ok. BUT he doesn't need a bloody toast thread. Plenty better than him.

I love how he looks slow to dispose, then the opposition closes in and he weaves his way through the traffic. :thumbsu:
Someone obviously taught him to weigh up his options properly, it doesn't have to take forever but I must admit he does seem as if he's going to get reeled in at times. Looks deceptively sluggish and a bit awkwardish, bit like Swanny - doesn't look all flash thunder like an Abblett or Hawkins but very very effective.

No defenders would have stopped the delivery to Hawkins in that last quarter. Was ridiculously good and lacking pressure from our mids. I dont think there was much Frost could do apart from have a third man drop in the space in front
