could you imagine another "interstate" grand final!
so much more fun, WA everybody was nice some natured bantering 2012 wasn't the same i don't think it's possible to have a healthy rivalry with a vic team. round 15 06 past the WA parliament was funny as hell seeing the sydney swans fly flying instead of the state flag because of the bet between the premiers the previous year :D

and even though we lost the granny in 06 i still shook hands with the eagles supporters and congratulated them, like wise in 05 most of them did the same thing (with a few took you long enough digs) 12 just saw the hawkers get up and leave in droves not a single congrats. there was much more animosity.

Hawks fans may shake hands when they accept, eagles fans are normal and at the siren they accepted the loss, hawthorn fans still looking for reasons they lost

Back on topic, the next three weeks after the bye remind me a little of 2012 when we faced Essendon and Geelong either side of the bye, which ultimately set up our season. I know they say to take it one week at a time and I'm not looking past Geelong (like others I respect them the most), but it's a fantastic opportunity!

Geelong, Port, GC it's all in our hands now.

Win all 3 and we will be top 2, lose all 3 and we will be right back down the pack again.

I guess on topic there are some guys who deserve a big wrap for the turn around and some id highlight

Hannebery- he was god awful early but he is back big time
Kennedy- he was never out of form like the others but he has been epic
Grundy- i think he is pushing all australian
Rampe/laidler i put them together as laidler has cemented a spot down back and his super efforts have freed up rampe
Mcglynn- see kennedy was already in form
Parker- he has been a grade over the last months

Jude said today that its the best midfield balance he has ever seen at the Swans.
Hard to see anyone getting dropped , Harry and McGlynn are doing run with roles to effect and adding pace to what was a one paced midfield . Parker , Kennedy , KJ , Macca , Bird ,Hanners are not going anywhere and Lloyd is an outsider that uses the ball very well and knows how to find space and has racked up 20+ pos when not the sub.
I Cant see Mitchell pushing out Lloyd as they are totally different players , one is an inside player/extractor gun with sometimes poor foot disposal and the other is an outsider with pace and foot skills and also knows how to find the Footy. Harry wont be dropped anytime soon with the scalps he has taken so far and can also play small forward when not doing run with roles and has pace.
