I love these:

It is Nov 3rd 1931. A man is reading the paper. He reads a headline:- World
War One fighter ace, Thomas Smith, has died.

Why could this never have happened?

I'm hopeless at these things.

You've probably all heard this one, but meh:

Three ladies go to a restaurant for a meal. They receive a bill for $30. They each put $10 on the table, which the waiter collects and takes to the till. The cashier informs the waiter that the bill should only have been for $25 and returns $5 to the waiter in $1 coins. On the way back to the table the waiter realizes that he cannot divide the coins equally between the ladies. As they didn’t know the total of the revised bill, he decides to put $2 in his own pocket and give each of the ladies $1.

Now that each lady has been given a dollar back, each of the ladies has paid $9. Three times 9 is 27. The waiter has $2 in his pocket. Two plus 27 is $29. The ladies originally handed over $30. Where is the missing dollar?

It's not missing. The sentence 'Two plus 27 is $29' is misleading, since the $2 has already been added to the $25 bill to make $27. At the end the ladies have $3 between them, the restaurant has $25 and the waiter has $2. That's $30 in total.

Reminds me of the coin, with the issue date "2000 BC"

A man leaves home.
He makes 3 left hand turns to arrive back at home.
When he arrives home he finds two men waiting for him.

Explain

The man fell in the Kannanook river, and when he got home he found that there were two guys named Murray waiting to tell him he has 2 weeks, tops before noone remembers him.

When you move out of the basement Lenny, you get way out of your league.
This is for lateral thinkers, which by definition excludes you.
Besides, there are no pretty colours here.
