I just found out some of the league awards handed out on Friday night.

A side goes through the season losing one game and in 15 of the 18 games played beat the oppostion by a average of 120pts and does not get one player in the voting top ten.

Now maybe someone could help me understand the umpires thinking in some of the games, surely if a side wins by 138pts that side you would think would have had the three best players on the ground,BUT the umpires chose to award the 2 votes to the losing side go figure.

Its got me buggered.

We won one game by 10 goals and only received 1 vote for the game.
I think maybe when a team plays really well the umpires find it difficult to pick out 3 particular players, so its easier to pick out a standout from the losing team.

or could of it been if the player from the losing side wasnt playing, that team wouldve lost by 25 goals??

Hence why the player got votes??

For saving 2 Goals, he gets votes, they lost by a 138 points.

You would think the team that won would have the best 3 players on the ground.

Don't think the guys from Springvale would actually care to be honest, they have divy 1 to think of now.....

the votes go to the best player on the ground for the day. it has nothing to do with the scoreline. im sure the umpires gave the votes accordingly without bias
