the word was allegedly filtering out early monday morning that benny hart was told he will no longer be required at the adelaide footy club.

the media got a hold of it and the club was forced to make release a statement last night last night to save further innuendo.

how is it that the word about ben hart not getting a contract extension, was filtering out of AAMI stadium early on monday morning??

i'd expect this at carlton, NOT the adelaide football club

as a result the 'hero' that has leaked this information has denied one of the absolute champions of our proud club a chance to 'hang up his boots' with a bit of dignity.

the soul searching benny hart is doing as we speak should be the knowledge of the adelaide coaching staff and exec's NOT the football public.

he should've been told of the clubs' decision, it should've been kept strictly in house, then benny could've gone off to do some soul-searching, possibly realised his time was up and annonced his resulting retirement at a press conference with his team-mates by his side. NOT like the debacle it has turned out to be, with questions about, will he play for another club, 'this is the worst decision the club has ever made', his father voicing his opinon on 5AA, SO ON & SO FORTH.

its embarrassing for all invloved, its not good enough!

BENNY deserved so much more.

There have been hints off and on for weeks. No contract extension raised some eyebrows. NC declaring after the last game that'' talks have to happen straight away to determine lists'' and '' we are meeting with Ben to discuss his future''

It has even been discussed on here thats how open it has been. Its not the act that is leaked but the ''non-act'' that makes the most noise

How do you keep it in house? Why blame the club for the leak?Do you know that the player did not tell a friend? It is hard to keep these things "in house" when the player is obviously wanting to keep playing. he has only to tell one person"in confidence"...and away it goes. The Crows were in a no win situation but at least they have shown that they can make the hard decisions.
