Terrible news about Norwood player Lee Blake who died of cancer this morning. Im sure Norwood played that little bit harder for him last night. Best wishes to his family and friends. A very sad day for the Norwood football club.

Yep managed to make a come back at one stage when he was in remission as well.

Fantastic lad will be sorely missed.

Nice mark by the club last night to paint his #41 in the forward pocket in front of the Hill last night.

Very sad news.

He was very gutsy, made a comeback a while after getting cancer the first time.. unfortunately this time it was too much.

I have read that he got to hear the NFC club song last night via his wife's mobile phone which was nice.

It really hurts me as a fellow cancer sufferer myself to hear this news. I mean some of us are lucky, others arent. Terrible, terrible news and my heart goes out to his family and friends, and well done to the Norwood Footy Club on their little gesture.

Yep after the game on Friday night the lads got a mobile and rang Lee's wife so he could hear the song.
