yeah, its a great game if you're playing with 3 friends/ebuddies, but a fairly poor game to random pub

Picked this up on Steam on Friday. A bit of motion sickness evident after three late-night sessions in a row.

Of course, got the inevitable uber-nerd yelling at me "you only just buy? you go play offline before come here ruin my game!!111"

If you get on a team with good communication it's great. A team where nobody talks is boring and not likely to help you win.

Run through scenarios on 'normal' is way too easy.

Yep like most online games, a team that talks is much more fun. Being on a silent team in L4D is painful.

Especially since the game is normally too fast-paced to be able to type much.

The servers, at least in Australia, are largely dead so I haven't played it in a while. I'll get straight into L4D 2 when it comes out though. The only servers I can find at the moment en mass are ones for verses, which I don't like very much.

My tip is never play L4D whilst drinking. Everything moves too damn fast and people get pissed off when you shoot them in the arse with a shotgun
