What's the situation with this guy? He looked like a good key defensive prospect but now seems to have been pushed out as Pavlich and McPharlin take those posts.

Do you think Brown is just too slow for a key defender? Is he a more natural forward? Or is he just a disappointment?

I'd be interested in him as someone I wouldn't mind seeing at Carlton, given he's a Victorian and we need a guy who could make it as a CHB. If you keep Pavlich then Brown may be surplus to requirements t Freo.

What do you think about Brown?

The guy has stated numerous times that he wants to be a 1 team career player. He was our best clubman last year, visits primary schools, helps old ladies across the road... the whole bit. So he is valuble to Freo for more than his playing.

He's a big boy who physically needs a few more years to tone up.

He has slowed in development compared to what everyone thought. But he is a big presence and usually lifts the team.

I personlly think that if he can increase his foot speed (through coach Adam Larcom) he can play back or forward. He's a good overhead mark and always makes a contest.

Why is he required for?

If Pavlich does leave, Freo still has a good spine for the future.

Where is Leigh Brown supposed to play, if Pavlich stays that means even less room for him in the Fremantle side.

I was just talking about the key position players really. But yeh Haselby as well, good spine to develop a team around.

Also with the form of Medhurst this year do you think Clive Waterhouse will get a game next year?

Freo would be mad not to offer you Brown and Walker or McPhee for your 2nd pick. And possibly a draft pick.

Rumours that Gardinar will go to Carlton as well. Maybe the Eagles want Wells also.

Would you swap Gardiner for Wells? Personally I think Freo are much much more likely to give up Brown for Wells than WCE giving up Gardiner. Personally I think we could get a little more than Brown.

So Brown's not the untouchable he was a few posts ago? (Not you Sabre, I know)
