Much has been made about the return of Ottens, Chappy,and SJ, but watching the last few weeks, and especialy tonight, I must say that the return of Varcoe and Kelly have been just as important. We really missed Kelly's run, cool head and excellent disposal out of the backline, and as a non-Varcoe supporter I have to say that he has really made a difference to the foward line.

Kelly has shown over the last few weeks how much we missed him.

Kelly is the main reason for our reversal in form of late. He's been brilliant and structurally it helps us no end having him down back.

You know exactly what I mean. Hasn't been too many articles on the importance of Kelly to the team of late.

Don't forget Byrnes! That banana for a goal got the ball rolling and his work around the ground was very very good ..again.

Rooke also might not be in the star category but his defensive work on a play maker has been very good. Pity he didn't take on Hodge for longer last year!

Agreed. Top goal that was. In a way it probably gave the rest of the forward line a bit of confidence and calmed the nerves.
