I love JJ, he has been a great servent for us for many years, and I'm happy to pay him his money to play for Bendigo.

To move forward we need to leave him out as much as possible, he's holding our run and game style back. Telstra Dome or SCG maybe. MCG, NO!

Id think that JJ's days are numbered. I can't see him holding down a position in the near future and TBH, don't really wanna see him in the side.

Been a fantastic servant but the game has passed him by.

JJ yes, but take a look at our blokes looking up & trying to find a target inside 50

I don't know who or what, but we need another marking type

Pinch hitters are fine when they work, but always get found out in the end - after 1 poxy week in this case

jj shouldn't be played unless we have a few of our younger midfielders on the injury list. he is a depth player

JJ was the only bloke I don't remember fumbling.
He also was one of a couple that actually looked like getting a clearance.

I thought the lesson yesterday was that you actually need big bodied midfielders.

I thought the lesson yesterday was that you actually need big bodied midfielders.

And you need to be clean with your disposal and have the ability to make second efforts.

JJ was not clean with his disposal. In close he gave it up almost every time and the Geelong midfielders would cut it out.

He doesn't have the ability to give and go and is a perfect example of why we have been so poor the last few years.

Carlton don't have the big bodies that Geelong do so there's no reason whatsoever that he should play this week.

And I think that had more to do with the likes of Houli, Jetta, Davey etc sitting off him and not working and blocking.

When Jobe and JJ were in the middle together we actually looked like getting somewhere.

You're asking JJ to come up trumps when it's 3-4 against 1. That's a bit rich.

If you look at JJ's last 2 weeks he has played more of a flanker and less of an inside mid. His contested ball and clearances aren't great and the stats back that up.

He's become what Peverill was last year but less effective.

All our mids play that role. That's the way all our mids rotate, from half forward, to the wing, to the middle to the bench.

JJ's last two weeks have been good. He's our only midfielder to play two pass mark games.

We got on a role last week when JJ got on top.

We competed yesterday when JJ found ball and when Jobe took Ling forward.

JJ and Jobe are our two most important midfielders, by a street.

I disagree. I'd give JJ a 4/10 for game 1 and 2/10 for game 2.

Jobe and McVeigh are our two most important midfielders.

That's a bit Harsh imo,how would you rate mcveighs 2nd game?

I thought Stanton would be our #1 midfielder by a mile but he's gone missing so far this year. Until the younger guys can stand up we need to keep JJ in there, especially against bigger bodied teams.
