- are jealous!
What a strange post! How can you use the bleeding obvious as some explanation for what may have occurred on Saturday. Surely you jest! I mean, just because intensity has always been a marque of Buckley coached sides and it was completely absent on Saturday doesn't mean there was something going on in the players heads. Surely they just collectively got together before the game and decided to take it easy for a change. I mean really, the obvious can never be a reason can it?45 players this week have been inundated with questions.
First Dad , then Mum then brothers and sisters and then extended family. It happened with friends, collegues class mates, acquaintances, neighbours, girl friends.
How many calls, emails, messages and conversations? Maybe 20, 30, 40. - who knows.
But this embarrassing drug revelation about the club and the uncomfortable and incessant questions for every player could not possibly impact the groups on - field performance, according to so many here.
I call rubbish -
This was a major factor on our performance yesterday,
Our club was rocked to its foundations last week, it was an earth quake, and it will take time to emerge from this devastation, hopefully stronger and more united.
I can't think of a leader with more integrity than Buckley to steer the group through this.
But just like Ess if this saga continues to play out in the media over an extended period it will be devastating for our on field performances.
As I've said elsewhere, people like to take the line that there can be no excuses and if I were a coach then I dare say that's the line I'd be taking. That said, apparently I'm not a coach, just a humble supporter who saw something completely out of character with our players on Saturday and who happens to believe that 2 + 2 = 4.
