If I get to the Dome early (like 5.30pm - 600pm) this friday, can I get decent Level 1 tickets for the game at the gate??

Yeah, 90% of the time you'll be able to get very decent Level 1 seats if you get there a couple of hours before the game (5.30-6pm sounds fine) - they are about $33 (although $27 for concession/student card holders). Worth paying the extra $15 than sitting on Level 3.

Footscray supporters aren't too flash when turning up to away games, so I reckon you'll have no problems. On the other hand, you'd have no chance doing the same for the game next week against St Kilda.

Wont get anything on the wings, will be deep in the pocket or behind the goals.

The Spencer street wing is Essendon reserved seats and the other wing is AFL members.

If you're a member then you shouldn't have a problem getting them free.

I realise that North games are a tad different to Essendon games but we always turn up as the gates open (or just before if we can), produce our memberships at the ticket window and ask if there's anything available at ground level.

These will be unsold "reserved" seats that are sold at the window on the day. Since you've paid your admission through the membership your entry is free and they'll print off your tickets which you then scan to get in instead of your card.

We've been doing that since the start of last year (when the ticket lady informed us we could) for both North and Essendon games - but, yes, we get better seats for North. (Insert jokes here - but I am just trying to help)

ESSENDON V PORT ADELAIDE

Sunday, May 4, 4.40 pm
2008 Toyota AFL Premiership Season Round 6

Tickets Available through the Ticketmaster Network
www.ticketmaster.com.au or call 136 100

Tickets also available at Telstra Dome's Customer Service Centre - Gate 2.

Gates open two hours before the start of play.

That puts the gates opening at 2:40

Well I'm gonna take advantage of the space and go and sit up the top, where I can spread myself over 3-4 seats without anyone giving a shit.

Sounds like a good idea, even though I have row A, 3rd level seating.

Its too bloody cramped in at the members areas.

I'll try for level one seating first and do what that North supporter did. (Great Idea by the way). Otherwise I'll have to put up with level 3.

To be honest I hate the Telstra dome for many reasons.... MCG is the bomb!!!
