Anyone know how I can get the videos I dub to play back on other recorders?

I want to put video on DVD, and I did the recording and then after I dubbed it, it didn't work on any of the DVD players in the house except the LG player. I want to give the DVDs to other ppl, but if they're not going to play on their recorders what's the use.

Anything I need to change in the set up?

I hate manuals and a tech ignoramous, so baby speak please lol

Had someone else set it up for me and I've had the guy back twice already lol, so if someone can help me without me ringing him would be great.

Did you finalise the disc after it recorded ?

Check for it in your DVD/HDD recorders options via the remote control, failing that i know you said you dislike manuals... but read it :P - it may help to start from the back and read the index, and look to see if Finalise/Finalize is mentioned.

The DVD/HDD recorder i have has the option where you can 'finalise' the disc - meaning that it will be compatible in more than 1 type of dvd player, and should be able to play in other dvd players... not just the one it was created in OR other dvd players from the same company.

I dubbed it and all it said at the end was disk is full and gave me no other options other than to click, "yes".
I'll get the dreaded manual out :-(

Hate being female lol

Thanks :-)
