Liam Picken

I dont watch a lot of VFL but i noticed the dogs rookied Liam Picken, what can you more knowledgeable watchers tell me about him?

I haven't seen him play since Collingwood broke off their Williamstown alliance 1 year ago but he is small utility type player (played mostly forward pocket when I saw him), very courageous, strong mark and good leap. Relatively quick but nothing extraordinary in that department. Probably get a better answer from the Bulldogs board. Smaller Clinton Jones (St Kilda) type of player I suppose, perhaps even a more 'vanilla' Dale Thomas.

Played on ball all of last year for Williamstown and I'm pretty sure he made the team of the year. More a 'footballer' than an athelete - but has worked very very hard on his fitness - which probably got him over the line with a rookie spot at the Bulldogs.

Terrific kid with a fantastic attitude. Confident he will go well and grab the opportunity with both hands.
