I have a wireless broadband internet connection and as it is through telstra i have a 3GIG limit (this is the only broadband available to me except the activ8 me one which has the same prices anyway) i had limewire on my computer however as i have never had a limited internet plan i just did not think of it and i was downloading some songs however someone also uploaded some songs and took all my usage from me in one day into my monthly usuage i want to know is there any way to STOP people uploading from me or is there a better programme to use where i can control this i am open to any ideas.

THANKS

go to 'tools'
then 'options'
go to 'uploads'
then 'slots'

Don't use Telstra as an ISP is the BEST solution to your problem.

Nice advice except . . . .

So one more option but maybe telstra was easier to set-up.

Parabola. limewire is good if you just want 1 song or something like that.

I use limewire to download single songs of bands that i don't really like alot.

Try soulseek for music. I've never used Limewire but if its like the old Kazaa its probably full of spyware and bogus files.

For a while it was yeah. Then people started renaming files and they ran in to legal trouble and it all went downhill from there.
