I was nervous that we may have missed out on Patto after the trading but we basically turned:

Centra (Pick 1), Pick 19, Pick 37, Patterson (Pick 55) & Pick 73

Into

Centra, Knight, Patterson, Breed & Runnalls

Breed basically cost us a 3rd rounder = Bargan
Runnalls basically cost us a 5th rounder = Good
& Pick 19 was downgraded to Pick 26 = Who knows? We could have ended up with the player we wanted anyway?

I didnt realise Breed was pretty solid in the hawks outfit this year and we obtained her. Gosh shows how far behind i am. Dont know anything about Runnals either ?

I really hope player movement slows. Some clubs have nailed keeping their players. We have seemed to have players leave season after season

I really have this feeling, this draft was the start of something special. Probably started last year. But I think people underestimate what Ash will do for us. Not just on field. She's gonna be someone people will come to watch, so will get more people to games imo

You can count on Tassie. Wouldn’t surprise if they even did it the season before the senior men. VFL as well.

I really want to know more about the AFLW Collingwood Academy and the effort going into that. Does anyone know?

Collingwood took star young gun Ash Centra with pick one in the AFLW Draft, while also adding some quality players to its list.

Hyde played 1 game. The last one but I get what you mean. A better luck with injuries and will be some competition for spots

Centra wore #16 for vic country and gippsland.
Would our trades get the first two numbers? Plus the irish rookie, Ash can decide between 15 and 16
Maybe the irish girl can take Sheridan's number, with breed and the other girl with 12 and 15. Which leaves 21 and 24 for Knight and Patterson

Leni Lockyer playing her first U18 game for Oakleigh this weekend. Named on the wing.

While it'll be tough to get into the final team for champs as a bottom ager, seems she did her chances no harm

Lockyer impressed with her clean ball movement through traffic, particularly as a linking player in her defensive half. She read the play well and played a key role in transition chains, often supporting switches and overlapping runs.

Vic Country and Vic Metro girls played a couple of trial matches at La Trobe University Bundoora on Sunday and we took note of some standouts

Hope so. Would be great to see her at the pies. She's been playing for the chargers, but next year will be the big year for her.
