I thought it might be interesting to look at the youngsters on our list.
These are the players of the next generation - not all of them will make it - but some will be household names in the future.
Players on the List (in age order) who are younger than Sam Gilbert:
The names mean little if we haven't seen them play, however the mix of players here reflects our percieved deficiencies - mostly midfielders, a couple of key position players and a couple of ruckmen.
From the Paul Roos handbook of coaching (who must still be a big influence on Ross's coaching philosophy) and from the evidence of last season, I don't expect these youngsters will get much of a go in the seniors in 2008.
I have high expectations of Allen, Armitage and Geary all making a strong case for their inclusion into the best 22. Who do they force out?
