List Revamp

Ok this needs to be done, if we are going to have any chance of winning a premiership then we need to kill off some duds, put question marks over players and decide, or lable the ones which would of retired, they are:

Shultz kill
Krakouer kill
Thursty ?
Johnson kill
Richo reitred
Brown retired or too old
Simmo retired or too old
Bowden's Retired or too old or kill
Ray Hall kill
Hartigan kill
Jackson ?
Kingsley kill
Knobel kill
moore ?
Oakly nickles Kill
patto ?
Peterson ?

It's time to get real and realise these players will either be gone or not good enough.

you can't cut that many players in one year, all it would lead to is disaster.
And anyways, we are in the middle of a list revamp

I agree that a lot of them need to go, but cutting that many in one year will have a team full of kids running around...and especially as this draft isn't overly deep, we'll have to limit the amount of players we get rid of....so if not gone this year, they'll be gone next year.

It's time to get real and realise these players will either be gone or not good enough.

If its time to be real then you cannot get rid of all these players. Not all at once.

Schulz - has 1 yr remaining on his contract so we will be given to then to succeed.
Krakouer - Will be gone
Thursty - Is our best defender and has been very good since coming back from a knee injury. No chance we will get rid of him
Johnson - Will be a richmond player till he retires
Richo - As above
Brown - As above
Simmonds- As above
Bowden - As above
Hall - Will get another run i feel because of his versatility. He isnt a KPP defender and yet has been forced to play there
Hartigan - Gone. Good VFL player that is it.
Jackson - Done enough this season to warrant 1 more season. If there is no more improvemnt next year gone
Kingsley - Will not play for richmond again
Knobel - May retain his place by virtue of being a ruckmen
Moore- Gone. It was a make or break year and he failed.
JON - In his 2nd season has great pace and has played some very good VFL games this season. Will get another contract without a doubt.
Patto - Has proved me worng this season. But if anybody was going to it was him.
Peterson- A 1st year player who has shown signs of some real class and talent. Wont be going anywhere.

Your list is a bit all over the place. There is no mention of Tivendale, Hyde and Meyer who are all in more trouble then some of the names you have given. Though i hope Meyer is given another season.

Yeah, cull the lot of them. Right!

Replace them with a dozen or more kids fresh out of the under 18s and rename the club the Northern Knights or Sandringham Dragons!

Clueless about how it all works!!

We're getting plundered with 8-10 youngsters in the line-up - see how we fare with six more in the starting 18.

Like it or not we need the bodies of Bowden, Johnson, Tivendale etc. in the team to protect our little blokes (every single Richmond player under the age of 22).

You are right go and have a look at the 1980 GF with TerryTan all our players are huge look at geelong at the moment.

correct, all of our young players do

that doesnt mean 1st and 2nd year players not to mention 2 of our top 3 who are 28 and 29 should be on the cull list

The revamping phase is pretty much over , we are full swing into the development phase.

We have turned a large percentage of the list over since the end of 2003, there aren't many more 'old hacks' left. We are not doing badly because we have alot of old hacks.

The list that we have now is pretty much the nucleus for the next 5 years and the next couple are about developing and sorting these kids
