Good news! The AFL have decided that detailed live stats should no longer be a monopoly of the AFL website. There are now a number of live stat providers out there, not just champion data, although some, like GSM/Sportal, wont be doing anymore than before, ie scores and goal kickers.

Good news! The AFL have decided that detailed live stats should no longer be a monopoly of the AFL website. There are now a number of live stat providers out there, not just champion data, although some, like GSM/Sportal, wont be doing anymore than before, ie scores and goal kickers.

Hey Jim Boy, what does this mean? There were always detailed live stats out there on some sites like Yahoo. SportsData and Prowess and Cadability do that sort of stuff. The only place it wasn't live was for the sites that took 'official' AFL stats like News.com.au. Does this mean Supercoach will be live this year?

Supercoach should be live, assuming that the news.com.au fork up the dosh. Another factor in this is that all onsold clients have to be reported back to the AFL, which suggests their still may some sort of vetting in place there.
