I agree .... He is definately OVERRATED !!!!!!!

It's high time we traded his Lazy overhyped Ar$e away and tried/perservered with Henneman or Bolton at Full Forward as both of those Guys have much more potential/talent than Lisa's Husband

Nice argument:rolleyes:
The reigning Coleman medallist set himself up for a boom season with 13 straight goals in the first three rounds, but has since managed 19.15, including 2.4 against Geelong last week.

Bad kicking is bad form - at least that is what I was taught.

As a leader - he is OVER-RATED!!

I thought he and Lucas both should have been dragged on the weekend for being thrashed by their opponents.

if we're spose to drag two of our best players, who do you suggest we put in their place???? i mean honestly, who's gunna come into the side and have a bigger impact then those two????

I don't believe that, merely that the untouchable needs a wake up call. What, we can only criticise Henneman? All players on the list are fallible and need constructive criticism.

I would just like to say that this in constructive, well that was my intention.

Matthew Lloyd is a champion, proven, tried and trusted. Pevers-Legend, unfortunately he can not do the buisness every week. You seem to enjoy "sticking it" to him as this is not the first post you have made . He will be our next captain, not a worry about that. I can see Hird handing over soon, not retiring just handing over to Matty ala Anthony Stevens.

Reason I so called "stick it" to him is that I don't believe he has become the player he is capable of being. To me Lloyd has lost a couple of hos tricks, and I believe that is through his own doing, and I would like to see him regain them so he can become what he rightfuly should be - one of the best couple in the league.

It was pleasing to see him attack the ball and because he did that - he was rewarded with 5 goals on the weekend. I realise he can't always play well, but what gets to me is he seems to go missing in a big way when he has an off day and I question his work ethic in those situations. The reason I can judge so harshly - a captain can't afford to do that, and if he wants to be captain, then he should look no further than Hird and how he busts a gut even when he is struggling.

Lloyd has impeccable standards and if he wishes to be captain - he still needs to improve his game - improve on what he does when his opponent is beating him. Then and only then will he be captain material.

im supposed to be studying too :) it was mentioned on the news and then someone on the official site says he has some sort of stress fractures. cant be too serious though if he is still playing.

When i think of Lloyd as Essendon captain my skin crawls a bit. I guess we have been spoiled with King James as the esteemed leader of the team we love. By the way he conducts himself both on and off the field, he defines the term leadership. Lloyd is miles away from being at this standard.

Personally I don't think it helps that he is as dumb as dog*****. I don't particularly want to have to listen to him talk more than i have to, and if he is the captain, he is then the public face of the club, as far as the playing list goes. Don't get me wrong, i love seeing Lloyd tear out of the goal square, jump over a couple of defenders and take the ball in those vice like hands. But he has to know his place. And that is taking marks and kicking goals in the forward line. As others have mentioned we do seem to have a lack of leadership under Hird. What about giving the captaincy to JJ for a couple of years until one of the younger guys puts his hand up for the job.

So we are talking about personalities. I find James Hird as boring as bat ****.

I still maintain my view on the captaincy - but I was glad to see the way Lloyd reacted on Staurday to the events. My only question sometimes is why he stoips thinking. When he attacks the ball hard as he has done for the past few weeks he is great. He has kicked goasl, but it is not the goasl more the fact he provides a strong target which makes movement into the forward line so good.

Please please lead this week against Michael. If he decides to stand and wrestle with that hulk - he will prove once again he stops thinking when good oppponents play on him. Please lead - just be positive and attack the ball and you will beat Michael.

I think Lloyd will go OK this week.
He has always had a very good record against Michael for some reason. Even when we are getting done he always seems to kick goals against Brisbane. He was very good last year at Telstra.
Took some strong marks body on body with Michael which is suprising.

bomber fans ,do not , i repeat , do not sack a great footballer because of 1 game,no doubt you wanted to win this 1 badly but, this is not the end of the season for a fantastic club.stand tough guys and girls because i believe it will be a rematch in the big 1.
