Aston Villa,
firstly is it general vibe he'll miss 3-4...the corky he copped on the way down may have made it seem more severe than it was (perhaps this is just desperate optimism?)...

secondly who should replace him? and what 4ward structure do u believe will work best?

hille is back and may have to push 4ward more, johns is an option (not to sure of his form in the 2's tho???) and of course lucas is there but id rather him at chf....any thoughts lad....history suggests an essendon side without lloyd struggles to kick a big score....probly shouldnt disregard the great jimmy hird also tho......................

I know this may sound a bit left field, but what about Jason Johnson playing full forward this week. A mate of mine went to school with him at Assumption and he played a lot at full forward there. He's struggling in the middle due to a lack of fitness and game time so it might be a good for him to fo forward. He's not bad on the lead and if you throw in M.J, Lucas, Bradley, Hird, Solomon, Lovett, Gus and get Hille to push forward around him, at least they will fight to keep it in there. I now he won't replace Lloyd, but he could kick 3-4 goals. Then again there is still Henneman.

lucas or hird at full forward id play hird, would be interesting match up. he is great in the air and has great ground skills. he also has the smarts to take his opponent (likely to be clement) away from the ball and let lucas or hille come into play. good record on Anzac day. Pretsigiacoma would be on hille and wouldnt know what to do at CHB.

another option is jobe watson, he is smart and was playing forward for bedigo, can take a great mark and who knows maybe it will start to make him think that when he is in the middle he can actually kick it.

dont know why we played welsh their against bullies.

It looks like we've lost him for 3-5 weeks (I'd say 4 weeks minimum though).

Lloyd faces extended time on sidelines
Tuesday, 18 April 2006
Essendon captain Matthew Lloyd could be sidelined for up to five weeks with a hamstring injury. Trainers carried Lloyd from the ground during the third quarter of Sunday’s clash with the Bulldogs after a marking contest and he was taken straight to the medical rooms.

It was initially hoped Lloyd was suffering from a hamstring strain that had been compounded by a corked thigh. It now appears the muscle has been torn meaning an extended period on the sidelines. A significant amount of bleeding around the injury means a scan is yet to be done.

Lloyd took his first step in the rehabilitation process today, spending an hour in the hyperbaric chamber. The best case scenario might be three weeks but it appears more likely to be at least a month on the sidelines.

it will be interesting to see who is a ff. depends on who is needed down back. you would think that chf would be lucas with lovett and monfries on the flanks. minfries is a superstar!

at full forward maybe mark johnson, maybe jimmy if our on ballers are winning it or even mcphee. soloman up forward aswell might not be to bad as there might not be a match up for him down back.

i just hope we dont go predictable. rioli back he too could be handy a ff.

JJ cant kick so he shoudnt be full forward or anywhere near the forward line.
I was talking to Hille after Lloyd went down and he asked him who will play FF and he joked that he will.
