Nice touch this week with Lockyer playing his 200th game in his home state of WA.

Since his knee reco he has played every game and is still a vital part of our set up each week.

A role player, a leader and a quality individual. Congratulations.

yeh well done tarks , one of my faves:)hopefully theres another 50-100 games left in him:thumbsu:

Been a great servant of the club, and has come back very well from that knee reco.

Well Done Tarkyn Lockyer, 200 great games.

And yeah, it is fitting that it is this week, against WCE in WA, where all his extended family and friends can attend.:D

Awesome work Tarks.

Was tossing up about not going to Perth....

This news changed my mind.

We'll see guys, haven't spent much time at home in the last few weeks as im in my last year of my masters at uni, so i've become a very boring nerd this semester.

This will be Tarkyns 116th game in a row... would be almost a club record.

That's ok, I'm sure someone else could make one. I would make one, but I'm pretty busy at the moment and I don't have much footage of Tarks.

How old is Tarks, i think i read (28?), may be a bit older.

STill i love him, never gives up and is very underrated. Never know, he seems durable and 75-100 more games could be on the cards if he is lucky.

100 more in him.
Been one of best players over last couple seasons!
Congrats to him on his 200th!!!

He's 29, he's terrific - so reliable and such a workhorse. He's so often been the man to score a goal when we've needed it. And just to throw a spanner into the works - he really wants to coach.:p

Well done tarks..

My dad's favourite player and one of mine. Need more players who are actually consistent in this team. I'm the first to admit I wrote him off that season after he came back from his knee injury, thought he was gone, not up to AFL standard. The way Tarks has come back is a credit to him and to the club, thought he should have been our best and fairest when Cloke won it and is still one of most consistent.

Thanks Tarkyn.

Lockyer denied his milestone would be a motivating factor.

"With the footy club in the position we are at the moment, I don't expect the boys to go out there and play for me," he said.

Thats why he is a leader at the club.

Well done Tarkyn, have watched your career with great interest.

It's a big journey from Flinders Park primary to Collingwood FC but your endeavour and enthusiasm for the game remains the same. (Height also:p)

A great credit to yourself and your club.

Underrated player.

Outstanding effort to come off the rookie list and chalk up 200 games.

A bit short & not particularly quick, but the epitome of consistency and reliability.

Would be a great role model to our young players methinks.

At the rate he is going, by the end of his career, he could be in the top 10 for the most games ever player by a Collingwood footballer. Thats an amazing feat for someone who never stood out as a champion. He is a true definition of team player. I've never doubted him or 'betrayed' him as a Collingwood supporter, always seen his worth.

That '07 season took me by suprise, why was it such a one-off achievment? He would be rated as a top 10-15 midfielder in the AFL if he was to have continued that form over the next 2 seasons. What a remarkable year though, averaged over 22 possessions a game, over 8 marks a game, almost 3 tackles a game and ended up with 13 goals for the season.

#24 will be remembered as Tarkyn Lockyer's by the end of his career.

I think premiership utility Jamie Turner may have something to say about that PieLeb. :p

On a serious note well done Tarkyn. A great rookie success story and hope the boys can give you the result that you deserve.

Underrated leader who mustn't have been far away from the captaincy mix at the start of this year. After the knee reco I doubted that he could ever get back to his performances prior. But he seemed to come back and re-invent himself (away from the back half) as a hard running utility that is regularly amongst the goals.

His accurate kicking and durability have always been the standout for mine and for a relatively small bloke he is pretty good overhead. Hopefully he has a few more years in the tank yet and can impart his leadership qualities on our new breed of midfielders in the years ahead.
