Federer is such a nice guy. Let Murray have his day in the sun in front of his "home" people but it still means nothing because he flogged him when it counts.

Counts as a good win, not a major though. That said and I say this as a person that can't stand Murray's entourage but I would be happy to see him win a slam eventually.

I dunno, seems like some of those posts come across as if Federer couldn't be bothered etc... doesn't matter if it's a slam or not really, a gold medal in the Olympics don't come around so often, something Federer won't be able to have another crack at.

He already has a doubles gold and im sure he really wanted to win the singles gold against Murray. But if you ask him which he would rather, another GS title or a singles gold medal im pretty sure the answer would be another GS.
