Little did I know I was in for a rather large shock when I went and tried on a pair of pants at Supre yesterday.
I guess I should go back to the beginning to save confusion. Last year I was an absolute pudger - not too sure of my exact weight, but I know I wasnt healthy and was quite ashamed of myself. I put it down to depression and laziness - my highschool (Henley High, for those of you in Adelaide) was dragging me down and I just wasnt motivated enough to get out and do something about my weight. I had manic depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue - and so I left Henley and spent six months recovering. I'm now back in the education system (Thebarton Senior College) and I'm feeling much better about myself.
Last Thursday after college had finished, I went into town and did a bit of clothes shopping. Honestly, it must be very difficult to design pants for short people. I'm 17 and 4'9"! So I ended up going into Jay Jays and trying on two garments - a fluro orange jacket which I intend to buy soon (a size 10) and a musk pink hoodie which I bought (also a size 10.) I used to be a size 14 and size 16 in jumpers - and to my surprise when I tried them both on - THEY FITTED PERFECTLY! Shock! Horror! Gasp!
And then yesterday I went into Supre and saw a pair of pants I liked the look of. Dark blue with a purple stripe down the side. Size 10. Well what do you know - they fitted perfectly aswell.
I feel like I could take over the world! I'm so very proud of myself!
