I am prefacing this post by saying I searched to see if someone else had posted on this new comedy. I couldn't find anything

I watched the first 4 episodes last night and really enjoyed the latest offering from Netflix (boy are they churning out quality TV).

The comedy is about a couple, Gus & Mickey, both aged in heir early 30's, who meet by accident and discover they have a lot in common. Without giving story lines away it is difficult to say much more except that it is very compelling TV, the characters are quirky, and the people behind this production are blue-chip Hollywood (John Slattery of Mad Men, and Judd Apatow of Knocked Up are two of the producer / directors).

I didn't think it was awful, but I didn't think it was that good either.

I do like that they weren't afraid to make the characters properly flawed, to the point of actually being dislikeable in a lot of ways. It's nice to see Netflix take risks like that.

Nonetheless I think they kind of missed the mark here. Shows like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and You're The Worst are currently doing similar stuff much better.

Not bad. Gets better. I think Apatow's quirky schtick is becoming a bit tired, not unlike Wes Anderson.

I thought it was okay. Seem to be opposite to everyone else here in that i liked it less the further it went. I just couldnt buy the 2 chicks chasing that guy. Seemed to me that guy just wrote a show that would allow him to hook up with as many hot chicks as possible.

Another netflix one ive just started is flaked. Wil arnett from ad. Not bad so far but also nothing amazing.

Season 2 has been out for a few days. I've watched a few episodes and, to me, it's similar to the first season in that it's pretty inconsistent but the good is enough to keep watching.

A watch able mid range show.

None of the characters are especially likeable, especially Gus who just seems to be the writer using the show as an excuse to hook up with actresses.
