Would be good if Crows & Port rewarded fans for turning up to games by being allocated points for attendence at the gate (scanning membership card through)...surely this has to be looked at? this would increase attendence and surely the SMA would agree create more revenue from food & beverage.
Points can go towards merchandise, or towards following year membership. The SMA might even agree that points go towards food & beverage. Give everyone 100 points for attending a game, 100 points equals a $1, you could offer more points for higher level of membership.
I am surprised not club has done this either or do they?
Thoughts? (I realise i will get shot down yet again for creating this thread...whats new?!)

I believe the crows used to do something to reward people for turning up. It promoted giving your tickets to others when you couldn't attend.

Really like the idea. I'm surprised Ports marketing dept aren't all over it.

maybe your spending at Adelaide oval or from merch /membership from the club could also accumulate points?

if you attend every game of the season you virtually get a free beer/meal at the last game, or keep it for next year!

if you are loyal for 20 years then you could get a whole season of free food & beverage!
(or something like that!)

I think it's a great idea, They should have a reward available each year, but you have to attend at least 10 matches to qualify and offer a new reward every year.

Something along the lines of an elite member polo top or a special one off edition scarf as an incentive for people to use their tickets.

Though if we averaged say 30k members that turn up every week we would be giving that many jumpers every 5 to 10 years. Club probably wouldn't be interested in handing that many free jumpers out. Anything less like a free beer isn't going to get you to go to that game you couldn't be bothered watching on Mother's day.

If you have to buy loyalty to your football club then we really are a soulless franchise

We are a footy club not a supermarket

You've already bought the ticket, it's rewarding you for scanning it through the gates.
You wouldnt be paying for anything more.

Except the $1 per game extra the club will charge you for the season ticket.

They wouldn't absorb the cost.

For $1 extra so what, you get a reserved seat plus cap, stickers, scarf, lanyard etc...plus priority to purchase finals tickets

You missed my point.

If next year, the club offers you $1 in points that you scan, the price of the ticket will go up $11 (for a season membership).

They won't give you a season pass for the same price AND the loyalty program on top.

They do/did have some sort of loyalty deal where if you used your ticket for all home games you went into a draw be presented with a player Guernsey after the last game. I'm pretty sure they even had a draw for a new tv if you went to all home games a few years ago.

Ticket prices will go up with inflation in any case...just think its an incentive to fill up seats and not let tickets go to waste...the crowd is much lounder with an extra 5,000 in the stadium too.

Both clubs could quite easily give current members points for the game they attended this year (provided they keep the scanning records not sure)

Great idea. I don't think the free guernsey after 10 years is that much of an incentive, but something like $10 off an outlet/merchandise purchase every year you use your season ticket for every game, or $1-$2 reward for each game you use your ticket, hell even a $20 discount off your membership for using your ticket every game would be a great incentive. It could then be extended so that if you use your ticket for every game for 9 seasons, you get your 10th season for free. I would also throw in either a free upgrade to Gold or a GF guarantee bonus as well. I don't think that would affect GF ticket availability too much as very few people would be able to use their ticket for every game for 10 seasons anyway.
