What was the story with Hyphen on Sat night - does anyone know? We were surprised by the amount of times we saw him pushing up into the 50 when Sydney pressed forward. I cannot remember him ever setting foot in a goal square before, but there he was. Then he kicks a goal?

Read in the paper today that Roos was just being a bit foxy (ROK in defence etc) but was wondering of there was any mention of it in the commentry or after match analysis.

His job was to stay with Grant either end of the ground.

Swans just manned up on everyone. Same reason why ROK played in defense. Dogs couldn't run. Dogs couldn't move the ball quickly. Game over. :thumbsu:

LRT took that contested mark and then kicked a goal. I think most of the football fraternity were surpirsed to see all this produced by LRT. He has lifted since the grandfinal and altohugh he still isnot a footballers ar$ehole he has certainly improved to be more than an athlete.

Has anyone heard the rumour his dad started hutchinson telecommunications which was taken over by 3. Supposibly his old man is worth squillions.

KB still calls him Robert Lewis-Thomson.
Dunno why but I found that hilarious.
One of many things he got wrong on that night.

"Mcfee" = McVeigh apparently
'1 point lead' when it was a 2 point lead.

Must admit I was questioning the Sanity of Roos when I saw LRT take his position down in the forward pocket next to Grant.
Did a nice job limiting him to just one goal, and of course his first AFL goal after a good mark:eek:

I think you'll find he kicked 3 in his debut game playing forward against Geelong

Hmmm thought he was on 0 career goals, prior to the game :confused:

From memory, the score board at the SCG said he had 6. But my memory has been battered by many many things over the years.

5 goals prior to the game- all of them in 2003. 2.2 on debut against Geelong*, one other minor-round goal in 2003, and one goal in each of Sydney's 2003 finals! Who would've remembered that unaided? Not me!

* A game worth remembering by the stats nerds for 2 reasons:
1. LRT (if he continues his current form and doesn't get moved to the forward line) is likely to be the answer to the footy trivia question posed in the year 2015: 'Which player who had more scoring shots on debut than in any other match of his career, has played the most games?'
2. Sydney had 7 players kick 2 goals that day, but no-one kick more than 2. Highest number of players sharing the lead of the goalkicking tally (where the team had a multiple goalscorer), that I've ever seen.
