Everything seems to go there way doesnt it....Shaq gets injured and they put him on the IL which means he must miss 5 games whether he is better or not and although they won a tough game today against the out of sorts 76ers there next 4 are easy..

Golden State, Toronto, Houston and Denver..... I doubt they'll even lose one without the big guy...Luck is with them, they could have got, Minnesota, New Jersey, Boston and San Antonio but nooooo lady luck shines on them again.

Still should be interesting to see how good they are, can they beat **** teams without Shaq?

Golden States Danny Fortson should play well against LAL at C.
Without the absence of Shaq, rebounds would decline and Fortson would take advantage of the free gift.

Toronto could give LAL a run for their money with Davis and the Dream, Hakeem. Vince Carter should play well 2.

Fortson will be at PF with Dampier at C but expect Fortson to still have a great game. He usually drags in 12+ boards a game with all the big guys. Without Shaq in his way he could have a big game. Time to see just how far Kobe can carry them.

I think you'll find Adonal Foyle will be starting at the 5, although it should be Marc Jackson

I can't wait for them to finally trade Jackson on the 15th of January, the kid is gonna bring in big numbers for the Grizzlies.

Cheers

Well in NBA terms he is still a kid, only his second season in the big league with less than 60 games under his belt...

Well obviously you don't understand the way the sporting system in America works.

As Outkast said, he has only played 59 NBA games, he is a KID in NBA terms.

BTW He is only 25.

Grow up little boy.

BTW That site in your sig is one of the worst i've ever seen (thank god it's down), and the forums are even worse, it is the only forum in the world where EVERY single post is made by one person.

Need's to get a few friends.

Very very inane and juvenile.

That's funny given that the site that i mod is the biggest Female Celebrity forum in Australia, oh and we have more than 1 person posting in the forums, we have 7000+ members and atm there is over 14000 posts.

Maybe you should have a look to see how a quality and popular forum is run.

But you have to be over 13 to access it so i guess it's no use to you junior

Yep i badly overestimated the Lakers worth. There not as good as i thought they were. Losses to GS and now Toronto even wothout Carter in the 4th quarter who sat with the aforementioned shoulder injury. With Franchise back Houston will be no pushover either.

I wish Devo would come back. 73 - 9......maaaan was he wrong. 72 - 10 will be the benchmark for a very very long time.

It's still not impossible, but is becoming more improbable with each loss. Unfortunately when I made my prediction, I under estimated the depth of the Pacific Division. It's easily the strongest Division in the League. While I think Sacremento is the only team that can stop the Lakers from winning the League, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, the Clippers and even Golden State are a more than nuisance value.

The injury to Shaq has also slowed them down, but who cares. It would nice for the Lakers to reclaim a record that is righfully theres, but as long as they win the Championship the record can wait.

By the By Jod, it's nice to know someone missed me.

Oh cmon dude, you now have to admit that it isnt possible from here. You can only lose 3 more games to claim the record...i hugely doubt that in 50 odd games you can only lose 3. Face it you overstated the Lakers worth. Predicting they would beat such an amazing feat like 72 - 10 was never really going to happen. The record by the way is rightfully Chicago's because they hold it, just because LA had it before Chicago took it away means nothing.

It only becomes impossible when the Lakers lose there tenth game. Until then it's most improbable.

The Lakers shouldnt be worried about the Bulls record, more so about claiming the number 1 spot in the West as the Spurs, T-Wolves, Mavs and the Kings are going away.

They gave up on the record the day Shaq went onto the injury list. I've no doubt the No1 spot in the West is their proirity, and maybe an undefeated Playoffs, although for that they would need a team in the Eastern finals to be completed in 5 or 6 at worst. I think the Lakers would be more confident of achieving that than breaking Chicago's record, although it will be tougher this year. San Antonio and Sac were humiliated last season and will be out for revenge.

What do you think is a greater achievement, underfeated in the playoffs or 72-10 in the regular season?

Tough to call, undefeated in the playoffs is tough and its only the best of the best in playoff basketball, everyone has a claim on the title at that point of the year and all the teams and superstars lift there game so its a big achievement to go through undefeated.

Then there is the regular season where you have to be on your game every night, the grind of the season, winning through adversity, injury etc very tough to call.

Ill say this though, 72 - 10 is very very hard to do especially when your the Bulls or the Lakers..the Bulls had MJ, Pippen and had won titles in 91 - 93 and were trying to do it all over again after the famed comeback, the Lakers are now back to back champs, these teams are marked on the calendar and you play extra hard to get a win against them than say the Grizzlies. Thats why its tough to get records like 70 win season.

Final thoughts ( Springer style :D ) In the end it doesnt really matter, all it is is a record or bragging rights, do you think 72 - 10 would have meant anything if the Bulls didnt win the Championship? What it comes down to is holding up the big shiny ball at the end of June, that my friend is the main objective. The Lakers though IMO wont go through undefeated in the playoffs, hell they may not even win the whole thing...
