I am a happy man in a way today... I had a weekend to Adelaide planned for the match vs the Crows but decided not to go ahead at the last minute!!

What happened though! I didn't catch much of the game; just one of those days?

One must remember Carlton smashed us by 100+ points in mid 2000.

Next week will be the true test of the character.

I did a very rare walk out in disgust halfway through the last quarter when we were about 70 down, got home turned the TV on and let out a "WHAT THE ****!" that could have been heard in Latin America.

Then we rolled them in that final. Tear to the eye thinking about that.

Best game of footy I've ever seen!! Ah... in any other year we would have been a huge chance to win the Premiership... but 2000 nobody in history would of got near Essendon. In a way we won the Premiership 15 clubs were going for... to make the Grand Final... nobody really thought Essendon could be beaten.

We also rolled Carlton in Week 1 of the 1994 Finals Series, when they were raging favourites. Schwarz was great in both matches.

Was present at both & the 88 Prelim in the wet at V.F.L. Park, we've had a habit of winning the ones that count in recent times.
