Seems a good pickup, what did you guys have to get rid of to get him??

Top ten pick, not sure why hawks didn't persist with him, especially considering they need defenders.

Nothing - we drafted him onto our rookie list last season.

While he's a decent player, he didn't have his best game tonight. He was standing McKinley for much of the game and thus had most of WC's goals kicked on him. He also made a couple of dreadful mistakes coming out of defence.

Although he's not that tall (only Leo Barry height, at around 184cm) I think he's probably more comfortable on a taller forward than McKinley.

Still, with Grundy reportedly having problems with a foot, and another tall (Hall) lost for goodness knows how long, he'll probably keep his spot in the team for a few weeks at least - certainly until Spida's ready to return.

He didn't really fit into a position. Plays like a tall, but probably lacking a few cms to play there.

Also his kicking is terrible which wouldn't help. Definitely a few kicking errors last night.

Brennan can take a good grab, but his decision making and very dodgy foot skills were the reason he got the flick from the Hawks.

Defensively he was pretty good. Can put on a good spoil.

Where he REALLY lets himself down is foot skills. He has some of the worst foot skills i have ever seen. Couldn't hit a short target to save himself.

I actually thought he did pretty well he effected a number of spoils on Lynch right in front of us last night. Had some great run throught the centre and although his possessions usually ended badly with clangers he effectively stopped Lynch from scoring a number of times.

I thought his run from defence was superb. He really did put the foot down last night, weaving through traffic though his foot skills were woefull. Kicked the ball OOBOTF, and kicked to the opposition quite a number of times. But you could really tell how much he wanted to come back to the side; should be playing again next week.

I thought Brennan did some good things last year when he came off the rookie list for a few games. But last night he atrocious both with his decision making and his disposal. And sadly we musty note it was not exactly a high pressure game.

Similer things to last night down at the cattery will be dangerous.

Brennan is Clanger-tastic (that cross in the the backline - unpressured after taking a mark - to an Eagles player standing metres on his own was a case in point). But he's very good at getting to the contest and making something of it, which is important too.
