Had a very struggly career which came to an end at the end of the 2006 season i think. There was talk over here of him playing in the SANFL with North Adelaide but that never eventuated. No idea what he's doing now.

Which is bloody annoying, because if the club had anyone who was good at woodworking, we could've at least made him into a smaller round peg. Wouldn't have fit perfectly but such is life.

The coaches at carlton tried to turn him into a mauler instead of letting him play his natural game, might of made a full forward for a good team looking for one but we'll never know.

I'm not sure if he would have made it as a defender in the AFL in a good side but I don' think so.

His kicking was nowhere good enough and his speed might not have been up to standard...

Never got a look forward with Fev, Whitnall anchored up front.

Had great hands, but as someone else mentioned,

As for the comment about his heart: bullshit. Never saw him shirk a contest, and he always battled it out albeit at the wrong end of the ground.

Sorely wish we'd have given him a solid try as a forward.

Mouse carves it up week-in week-out for Glenelg, who are sitting top. Won the Magarey Medal last season (SANFL version of the Brownlow). IIRC he also won the Liston Medal in the VFL (the Brownlow for that comp) before he came over to SA. Clearly a very good player but just not quite regarded as good enough for AFL.

Played 17odd games, missed a couple through injury,
but held his own.

Once Pagan got him, he was strictly a fullback,
as soon as a goal was kicked on him early,
he was dragged, he never got the chance to work through the game,
and in the end, it just shattered his confidence.

I felt for the guy, as in the end he was humiliated by it all, and i reckon he was a better player than what people will remember him for, and what he could have been.

As much as I feel for Luke, he should have gotten out while he was young enough to still be wanted by another club. Once he re-signed with us, there went his career.

I remember him really well. He came to us from Hawthorn. There was a picture of him in the HUN on Monday. I really don't know why we got rid of him. He was one of my favourites, he was a ball magnet when he played for us.

Was he the small blonde in under fella? left foot.
If so i liked him, won a heap of the ball but from what i remember his dispospal by foot was a bit questionable. AB reminds me of him.
