why did we delist him? was it just injury?
Which is bloody annoying, because if the club had anyone who was good at woodworking, we could've at least made him into a smaller round peg. Wouldn't have fit perfectly but such is life.Round peg Pagan tried to stuff into a square hole. Was a forward, not a defender.
Unfortunate.

anyone remember 'Brett Backwell'..he was playing for the safl against the vics in the VFL over the weekend..haha..played well
As much as I feel for Luke, he should have gotten out while he was young enough to still be wanted by another club. Once he re-signed with us, there went his career.Actually his first year under Brittain was pretty good.
Played 17odd games, missed a couple through injury,
but held his own.
Once Pagan got him, he was strictly a fullback,
as soon as a goal was kicked on him early,
he was dragged, he never got the chance to work through the game,
and in the end, it just shattered his confidence.
I felt for the guy, as in the end he was humiliated by it all, and i reckon he was a better player than what people will remember him for, and what he could have been.
I remember him really well. He came to us from Hawthorn. There was a picture of him in the HUN on Monday. I really don't know why we got rid of him. He was one of my favourites, he was a ball magnet when he played for us.anyone remember 'Brett Backwell'..he was playing for the safl against the vics in the VFL over the weekend..haha..played well
I get the feeling you never saw him "play".
I'd personally rather forget completely about anything that came to us from North Melbourne. Pagan. McKernan. Martyn. Teague. All mistakes. You're probably right,
but he was royally shafted after his first season,
when Pagan drafted his mate from North Melbourne for 'experience'
or 300 games, whatever.
And that second year, he was injury fee,
but only played 10 or so games,
while Martyn was nursed through to 300.
