Luke Molan

Good news.

Luke played his first game of the season for Sandringham and managed to feature in their best.

If he can continue this form, get redrafted and get a good preseason under his belt, he could be exactly what we are looking for in our backline next season - a tough, skillful key defender.

Maybe pick 9 wasn't wasted just yet afterall.

Molan has been playing Sandy 2's for sometime and it's good to see he's back in the Sandy 1's.

Hopefully he can hold his spot in the 1's for the rest of the year, I have little doubt we'll keep him on the rookie list next year (if he's still eligable).

Great to see Smithy play well actually. Best of luck to Luke, I hope he finishes the season off well and hits the preseason with some confidence. I can see a future defence featuring him, Rivers and Ferguson.

How often has a team had three players (Ferguson, Smith, Hunter) on it's list at one time that play senior football one year, miss the entire next one and come back to be a success?

Let's hope these three can come up with something new...

Ferguson had to come back from a shoulder reconstruction. Was our most promising tall last year and I think he will come back.

Smith is a tall who played AFL 2-3 years before he should have because of our position on the ladder, he has also suffered glandular fevor this year, and played his most promising game by all reports last weekend. Will be a good player.

Hunter I've never rated.

I'm still a fan of Molan and I think he will make it, but with Rivers, Davey, McLean, Sylvia, Smith, Ferguson and Johnson our future looks pretty bright.
