Just noticed on the main board that Luke Molan is to be delisted by Melbourne, and possibly re-drafted by them as a rookie. He was top 10 in the very strong 2001 draft.

Always expected to be class, but can't get on the park because of injuries. Still a long term prospect, as he will be out for most of 2004 for rehab.

Late round pick could be worth a punt, if he's still there.

If we have four picks, and theres not much on offer, I'd like to see us take a punt with the big man.

Obviousbly has the talent, and could make himself useful at FF in the future, or possibly take his talents into the backline - probably the bigger preference for us.

Well, there might be better people available come draft time. Don't really rate him, I'll leave it up to the coaches to make that decision

Well he was the best KPP behind Polak in 2001 according to Melbourne who were desperate for KPP's in that draft.

Don't know how you can rate him though as he is yet to play senior footy. Has played a handfull of games for Sandy in the VFL but has been injured pretty much his entire time at Melbourne - Broken leg, knee reconstruction, shoulder reconstruction.

He'd be far more value as a late rounder than the 40th odd best kid in the draft. Especially to us with Willo gone, Milli gone, Seira gone & Jako to go after next year.

I lived in Melbourne last year and saw a bit of him playing in the VFL, which is telecast on the ABC like the WAFL is here. It's true that I haven't seen him play AFL, and he might surprise, but on what I saw he really isn't any better than any of our other young players.

I've seen him play for Sandy also, but only at CHF where Melbourne want him to play. He is a natural CHB IMO.
If he displayed any real quality in the handful of VFL games he played, Melbourne wouldn't risk delisting him anyway. He's a physically ready project with a lot of potential that may pay off handsomely in 2005. I'd use my last pick on him, but I reckon Melbourne will snaffle him back up before then.
