bloody sensatoinal. He's kicked off where he finished from last season scoring 300+ runs in his first couple of first class games.

Must have been VEEEEERYYY close to getting Lehmann's test spot i'd think. Has to be the next in line now.

yep, i wish that match was being broadcast on fox or something...

not taking away anything from love of course.. i for one hope he pushes his way into the test team this summer, perhaps slot in somewhere at 4 depending on how lehmann goes.

i'd imagine the aussie selectors would be expecting love to up the ante in terms of his strike rate when making these big scores. my impressions are now that the australian team is focussed on scoring at least 4 an over, just look at the way langer has changed his game to accommodate this.
after scoring 250 at a strike rate of 60, perhaps that is something love can work on to further push his claims for selection

I'd be pretty satisfied with a strike rate of 60 in a non-limited overs match.

yep i think that could be the way it pans out, but if Steve has a good ashes series i dont think he'll retire. He won't retire till his forced out of the international game through poor form.
