who is into it?
I'm aiming for that Euro holiday or the years worth of fuel TB
Instant Win crew checking in --- too non-committal to collect to win

Have you won anything cool? (small fries and mcmuffin does not count as 'cool')

Only thing i care for are the Instant Win : Free Day Outs

Never think about winning a major prize as have pretty much 0 chance to win them

Won a few aquarium passes and 2 for the ferris wheel in Melbourne whatever its called last year. Never used them. Got an aquarium pass so far this year that I probably won't use either.

Brilliant marketing strategy. Hundreds of thousands of suckers buying large McDonalds meals that they otherwise wouldn't, chasing after big prizes that they have virtually no chance of winning. Keep them hooked by tossing out a free sundae or some small fries every so often... like when the slot machines give you a bit of your money back to keep you playing. Then when you go into the location to claim your free sundae, you probably end up buying some fries and a drink to go with it, and McDonalds have played you like a fiddle.

Half decent take away food options like subway and local fish and chip shops are struggling big time, yet Maccas continues to boom.
My misses makes the best Big Mac at home using the Coles sauce and we do shoe string fries. It cost's a fraction of the price and tastes way better. Give it a try.

Gorge. Peal. Gorge. Peal. Gorge...

Congratulations! You've got diabetes.
The entire time I was reading this post all I could think of was how similar this sounds to "George Pell"...

Nothing "cool" yet. Just a $20 online retail voucher, a small fries or fruit bag, a small coffee or soft drink, and a small sundae or apple pie.

Subway is pretty mediocre as far as takeaway goes. I think they have recently cut down a lot on their menu too. There are so many takeawag options these days that they are probably all struggling.

McDonalds to be fair though has invested a lot of money into their products and facilities. Regular incentives like monopoly and toys. It's no wonder they keep going strong.

I'd be interested to see the effect promos like this actually have on Macca's sales figures.

If you assume the Monopoly thing runs for September is there a significant boost to sales compared to August and October, or September the previous year without the promo? I've been once this month for a shameful binge and don't have any express plans to go back, and certainly not influenced by winning free sundaes and those funny apple pies that look like sausage rolls. Some people would be going there a lot during the promo hoping to win big which is sad.

I've had takeaway a few times in the last couple of weeks. Local cafe with woodfired pizzas and pastas, Macca's, KFC, an Indian place...

Other than the drive through which you can't really see from inside I reckon over the counter sales in each one has been at least 50/50 Uber eats or equivalent. Ordered a takeaway pizza because I was already walking by and then sat down in the cafe and waited and arsed about on my phone because it was quiet. In the 10 minutes I was there no one came in for a meal or to order/pick up take away except Indian (looking) dudes with brown paper bags. How ****ing lazy are people they can't even go to KFC and pick up their own Streetwise Feast?
