Mafia is just stunning!

The detail in this game is mesmerizing I love it. What do others think about the game and/or Graphics.

The hardware demand is also amazing. Even my Athlonxp1800 and GeForce4 Ti4200 can barely keep the framerate above 30.

The game seems to be very buggy. Hopefully soon to come patches will fix any bugs.

I'm currrently stuck at the stage where you drive out of town to the race track. You pick up bobby and he guides you too the race car that you pick up too de-tune. When I get in the race car too drive it too (cannot member name)'s place, It just wont go! Sometimes the engine wont even start. Iv'e tried all the buttons and Iv'e studied the control configuration to no avail, the software just ****s up! It's really saddened me due too my overwhelming desire too play this game untill I finish it.

Yeah, its a good game. I completed it in a weekend (about 4 hours each day). I'm running it on my secondary system (1.2G 256 DDR, 32 Matrox G400 MAX) at 800x600 all max details and its running smooth.

Did you get into the right car? ie. the blue (??) one?? And you haven't got it on manual transmission?
When you get past this level you'll get to the real good ones


I'm doing some levels of freeride extreme at the mo and I've got to say that they are hard. Freeride is also fun taking out civilians (hey, its only a game ) and causing a traffic jam, then throwing a grenade under a car and watching the congo line of explosions

Yeah, thats good. As long as it's running smooth, ya cheering! I'm running 1024x768 with high detail and it's smooth enough but I can see it dropping below 30FPS at times.

Yeah I got into the right car, and I was trying too change gears out of N and it just wasn't working. The game hadn't crashed either because I could press Esc too pause etc. etc.
But, It's all ok! I have since tried driving the other car right up too the garage door and it seems too work then! So I was on my way...

Yeah it's gunna be great! I only get too play for about an hour a day.

man i am abseesed with mafia
so i bought it like 1 week after it came out

its soooooooooooooooooooo good!
i played every day on the holidays for hours,
nearly finished in 1 week

stuck on the last level

ive re-installed my pc, i keept my saved game tho!


ive now just bought nfs hp 2
this is good as well!

For some reason if you remove old save games from the mafia directory the game improves performance. The game was running like a slideshow halfway through the game, so I deleted some saves and it ran smooth.

Freeride extreme is just like freeride except you have little quests you have to do, like drive a car above a certain speed limit so it doesn't explode, or stay within range of a plane so you dont explode etc. etc. and you get bonus cars for each quest that you complete, which can then be used in normal freeride.

I cannot say I've heard of it but yeah, it sounds good! Do you have any links or websites about the game?

I'll give that Mafia idea of yours a go. Sounds strange but anything is worth a try when it comes too getting more FPS!

Freeride extreme is part of mafia. You unlock it when you complete the missions. Take a look at the main menu of the game and you will probably see it greyed out.
