These are my friday night tips:
Race 5- 3yo trophy - I'm happy to leave Picaday out in this one, I like Sir Success at rough odds. Hasn't performed in recent starts but still holds the class over a lot of these horses. And with Picaday in barrier 17 I think Sir Success can do the job. The other one I'm looking at is Sammy Sequalo at 10-1+.
Race 6- The Man at rough odds to beat Excellerator (too much weight for mt money, but is certainly the best in the race by far)
Race 7- 2yo Classic - Good race this one, with the two favourites also at the top of Slipper betting.
I think Not a Single Doubt is a good thing in this one, but around even money it won't be getting any of my cash. I'd like to convince myself on Oratorio, but I think it's a bit risky at this stage and looks slightly immature. Needs to jump better than last time or won't get a look in. I'm happy to leave Dance Hero out of calculations, for the simple fact that Ms Waterhouse is training it.
My money will probably be on quinella's and trifecta's, but I'm also looking at The General at 12-1. I think Not a Single Doubt will win, with The General second and Oratorio battling General Patton for 3rd.
Should be a good days racing at the Coast, and also the Rubiton stakes down south.
Good luck to anyone having a flutter.
