What a stuff up...
Yngwie was meant to start at 11.30, after the two support bands.
No support bands played and Yngwie started at 9.
It wasn't til a mate rang me when he arrived at the venue 9.45, at which stage we were still at a pub just around the corner, that we found out he was already playing.
Evidently a lot of people made the same mistake, if the chat as we left the concert was any indication.
We saw half the concert and he was awesome, but not happy with the stuff up.
EDIT: Have just emailed BOCS seeking an explanation and/or refund on the ticket price.

He did the same thing in Sydney Scotty. He was scheduled to start at 10pm after the support act.
I got there early and hung around outside for a bit and once it hit 9pm I thought I'd head inside and check things out, only to find the lights off and Yngwie doing his solo in the dark thing before Rising Force.
Very lucky I didn't do exactly the same thing you did, and judging by the people coming in after the show had started there were plenty of others who were taken off guard.
That said, he was awesome, an absolute genius at the top of his game.
