Just set aside 15 minutes or so, after all it's a Mick Malthouse speech.:p

He was good though, listened to it on the night, and he spoke as though he would genuinely miss the place, the players and most of the people at the club.

I wouldn't be shocked if he stuck his head into the Westpac Centre (with Bucks' permission of course) a few times in 2012, and he should be welcome to do so like an old friend.:)

Pendles winners speech is the best though IMO, although Luke Balls' isn't too bad either.

Cheers for that folks.!

Doesn't load on my work PC (blocked), but cant wait to get home tonight and have a look.

It's what I said last week. That is what could happen. No media, no fuss, Mick can drop in on his weekly walk. I'm sure like Tommy Hafey he has the players numbers (or twitter addresses haha).

Tom used to call the entire list on a Friday and give them a word of encouragement. Apparently some players still get in touch with him over 20 years after he finished coaching them.

As Mick said, "you never stop being a coach". I'd be astonished if he relinquishes all aspects of influence over the players he coached at Collingwood, just like he was probably still helping guys from WCE (McKenna, Sumich, etc) when he moved over here.
