Sure, but the key thing about the SJP game was that Newcastle had a 5 or 6 point lead going into the match. A win, and it's an 8 (or 9) point lead - IIRC, there was about 2 months left in the race and even you guys couldn't have thrown away that lead. The loss, the way it happened, left you with a 3 (or 4) point lead and a sinking feeling.

I'm just trying to figure out what right a Toon fan has to put Liverpool down. Yes, we have underachieved in the last 14 years, but we are still ahead of Newcastle (seen the table recently?) in every respect (and I'm just talking about 1991 onwards here).
